There's nothing like being an owner to develop an ownership mindset

My high-risk, high growth experience has been in founding and running early-stage startups involving

• rural fire outbreak alerts based on satellite data along with an information campaign to educate farmers about the related lawsuits
• herd weight measurement using a mobile app
• parking management based on computer vision

Beyond good skills and an improved business perspective, an interesting outcome of these efforts was the creation of an ideation-to-validation framework guided by iterative, evidence-based decisions

The difference between doing and knowing

If I were to summarize the impact of my research experiences on the professional I am today, I would mention the ability to

• dive deeper into theory and code libraries when needed
• be analytical and focused
• be confident in my deliverables
• enjoy coding and writing

The crowning achievement of this phase of my life was a novel insight and analysis that led to my inclusion in the Special Issue of FTaC, consisting of about 15 papers selected from a total of 118 papers presented orally at the prestigious International Conference on Multiphase Flow
